His Reign Is Ever-lasting

As the clouds roll in to cover the sky
Like a heavy saturated grey blanket gone, black
Near by lighting begins to streak, begins to strike
With thunder crashing, sounding close behind
Just as quick it begins to fade to silence
As the sound of pitter-patter rain hits against the pane
Like tears of sorrow against the woe some soul
As I begin to trace each drop’s path, I recall your face
As the hours pass, and the clouds begin to part
As light begins to slice its way through the darkened sky
To form a sign, a most translucent arch of color
To recall His Promise of Grace

I cry out: His reign is ever last

Blog EntryWorking Girl Aug 31, '08 7:23 PM
for everyone

I’ve been working for two weeks now. I mean truly working, coz I’ve attended their training but just for pre-employment with allowances. But now I’m in fact a certified eTel employee! I officially started last August 19. I’m really thankful that I got the job, when I applied for eTelecare we were about 27 applicants but at the end of all eliminations there were only 3 of us left. I realized that it’s hard to find a job now since there’s too much competition when you go out and apply. There are a lot of people who are more eligible than you, have a lot of working experiences and are really good.

By the way, I have so much to say about the job since at first I was so hesitant to continue TechPet (Technical Pre-employment training) coz being a Technical support is exactly for IT, Comp. Sci. grad obviously far from my expertise. After the training, I was happy to know that I passed for Dell BUT I realized that there are still a lot of exams to come, and lastly we must pass VERSANT!!! Arrggghhh!  It's probably curiousity and wanting to learn more about it that's why I decided to continue, though we were really warned that Dell is the most difficult account to handle in eTel and that our clients would be from US government/offices so we must seriously know what we are doing. I have to work hard, in short. Hehehe (I can do this!). At home I’m the one who puts viruses on our computer until it won’t switch on from downloading a lot of stuffs and if there's something wrong regarding hard drives I just let my brother do the dirty work (haha) and now I’m going to be the person solving the problems of a certain client regarding his computer from the other side of the globe. It’s totally freaking weird thinking about it.

Honestly, before I was thinking of continuing to study and review for NCLEX and IELTS but I think I made the right decision to experience working first. Why not in a hospital? Cause most hospitals in RP are now in FREEZE hiring state. (Sucks) Then again I also want to move out from my comfort zone to experience and learn new things. Being a student is challenging but being an employee is a different thing especially with a whole new setting, it's way too far. Plus, I also want to know how it feels to have my own paycheck/money and not wanting to spend it all from shopping since I earned it through my hard work and that I have to save. And be able to say that I’m not asking money from my parents anymore since I’m already 21.

Thank God. So far, it's been fun. Stressful and tiring at times, but fun overall. I enjoy all the interaction with folks of different strokes. Learning and having fun at the same time is really a wonderful experience. So, back to my first ever real job! Despite the stress and the pressure, I feel like I'm alive and breathing in this job.

We’re for CST this week, I’m looking forward in tearing up a computer, fixing it back and making sure it works and not explode, how to properly answer calls from clients by being relax, knowing how to probe and dealing with different clients especially the irate ones. Before, I thought that it’s easy to be a call center agent because all they do is talk in english and earn big bucks, but upon entering the world of night shifts and endless calls now I can totally attest that it’s not just how good you are in communicating in English but it requires hard work. Before we can handle calls we must pass every exams to be competent and capable enough and every month there are criterions (quality assurance, ratings and more!) that you must pass. With all honesty, the best part of my job is the people I work with. Most of us our still in our 20’s but they’re so up to the challenge, committed and so enthusiastic. Even trainers and supervisors are so young. And it's also a good sign when there are co-workers you look forward to seeing. So, that's me, Arianne the working girl!

Blog EntryEnjoy when you can, and endure when you mustAug 2, '08 10:49 PM
for everyone

(during my short visit in Mindoro, it was worth carrying my heavy books there)

Makes sense diba? It's actually a motto ripped off from Goethe.

Sometimes we have to experience adversity but at the same time, we must know how to take pleasure in our life in every possible way.

I just passed the board exam for nursing which is actually a big achievement. The 500 items examination was difficult and the process that I went through when reviewing and preparing wasn’t easy.

I’ve sacrificed a lot of my time and effort but upon seeing my name in the computer screen brought delight to my being (Thanks to Charmaine, she was the one who told me that I passed!). I've even cried and can't stop thanking Lord God for such a wonderful gift.  It's like winning a lotto, big-time talaga! hahaha and all the hardship was expunged. And when I saw my grades just last friday, I felt even happier! It’s really surreal!

I’ve endured and now I can enjoy!  Always be optimistic... don't take life TOO seriously... Why should you suffer when you don't have to?

for everyone

First thing I would like to say I love BOB ONG! wahehe now I even decided to collect his books (their cheap which is a good thing, go na ko sa Powerbooks haha) his works shows the realities of life and many lessons in a somewhat funny way which is also good coz we can't always be serious...

I say, AMEN! Grabe this is so true! Why blame others when YOU can do something to improve your life. Ayt? Meron mga taong lahat na lang isinisi sa mga nakapaligid sa kanila when they can do something. Be productive, help other people and improve our lives!

Kapag mas madami kang mistakes it doesn't mean loser ka but actually in the end of the day mas madami ka naman natutunan.

But for me, syempre I would like to have good grades mahirap din maghanap ng trabaho these days if di kagandahan ang nakikita sa TOR mo :) kailangan may balance ang buhay. Madiskarte and smart dapat tayo

"Tuparin ang mga pangarap. Obligasyon mo yan sa sarili mo. Kung gusto mo mang kumain ng balde-baldeng lupa para malagay ka sa Guinness Book of World Records at maipagmalaki ng bansa natin, sige lang. Nosi balasi.

Take risk!  Period. Sabi nga sa ad ng Nike "Just Do It!"  We can make difference we just have to trust ourselves and stop listening to what others have to say.

And by the way, don't be in such a hurry to fall in love or get married ienjoy muna ang buhay single. And you know what, one of my ultimate fave line from a song is Jason Mraz' Remedy... "when I fall in love I take my time there's no need to hurry when I'm making up my mind"...

Cellphones!! ---dami cguro makaka-relate dito. but I guess dami n talagang tao ngayon na can't live without their cellphones or gadgets.

Lovelife?!?! sounds familiar ba to many? i smell bitterness.. hahaha

WoooohooooO! Special days of every student's lives! one point in our high school/college days ikinaligaya din natin minsan ang pag-absent ni sir at ma'am. bwahaha specially if terror si teacher.

I love it! magamit mga minsan hahaha  Pero hayyy... i love this one coz pangarap ko tlagang maging isang traveller.

This is so true, napakaganda ng sinabi niya dito. We can learn a lot even from the strangest person on earth.

Gusto ko ikwento ang isang incident kung saan may isang tao na para siyang naging isang guardian angel and teacher at the same time for me.

MANONG: wala hija, bakit?

Blog EntryGlobal WarmingApr 22, '08 1:51 AM
for everyone

Today is Earth Day and it is not just a normal day but  somehow it should remind us that we should be aware that our earth is dying. I'm not getting any younger and I want to contribute in saving our world. We don't have to be superheroes or the richest person on earth to do something. Simple actions can be a big help this is also for our future children to have a clean environment to live in the future

Global Warming is drastically changing the planet. It has changed the face of our planet, from melting glaciers to drying up lakes, and it is only getting worse. Let's spread the news about global warming, this will help.

Get educated. Educate yourself about
global warming. The more facts you have as to what mainstream science says about it, the more you can persuade others to make simple but effective changes in daily behavior. Energy-saving techniques are either initially expensive (for example, solar power), or take extra time (for example, recycling), so many people need convincing that their efforts matter. Always keep in mind that you are aiming to demonstrate the benefits of these activities and highlight how each person can play a vital role in helping to reduce global warming; equally remember that "[c]ivil society does not respond at all well to moralistic scolding." Use education to enlighten, not frighten.

Recycle more. 15-25% of people don't recycle. Recycle more using recycling bins, composting etc. Encourage neighbors, superintendents, colleagues and businesses to do likewise. Lobby for improved recycling incentives and tougher penalties for using non-renewable where viable alternatives exist. You can be active in this by writing letters, producing
blogs and simply conversing with people

Use recycled paper.  Make sure your printer paper is 100% post consumer recycled paper. Save 5 lbs. of carbon dioxide per ream of paper. Decide if something is really worth printing out. Leave a signature at the bottom of your e-mails reminding the reader to think twice before printing the
e-mail. And make the most of scrap paper for shopping list, notes, scrapbooks, school and college note-taking etc. Only recycle your paper when it has been thoroughly used up! (And don't forget the potential for making origami and other paper crafts.)

Buy locally made and locally grown products. Buy locally to reduce the energy required to transport your goods. The consumable products we all purchase represent over half of the average family's carbon footprint! If you successfully encourage neighbors to do this, store owners will be forced to stock local goods.

Grow fast growing plants. Plants like bamboo grow faster and produce 35% more oxygen than trees like oak or birch, and require less chemicals and care. Make sure that the plants are appropriate for your area; prefer native over introduced species and do not plant problem species.

Take Public Transportation. Taking the bus, the train, the subway or other forms of public transportation lessens the load on the roads and reduces one's individual greenhouse gas emissions (an average of 1600 pounds of GHG emissions per year can be saved). As an added bonus, some new buses are even hybrid already, depending on where you live in the world. Taking public transport removes the stress of long road commutes and gives you a great opportunity to read, think and relax. On some train services, you can even use a computer. You also save on parking money and time wasted looking for parks.

Ride a bicycle. Taking the bike instead of the car is a very simple solution. However, if you experience such problems as lack of suitable bike paths, having to deal with congested traffic or hilly terrain, you are faced with a few challenges. They are, however, challenges that you as an individual can overcome with a little determination.

And STOP SMOKING Please!

Tanong: Guys, meron pa ba kayong mga ways na alam para ma-save natin si Mother Earth that you can share with us?

Blog EntryI am a Material GirlApr 3, '08 10:51 PM
for everyone

I need a lot of money to have all of these. This probably the things I would buy if I was the one who got the jackpot price in lotto last week! bwahehe I was in dreaming mode...

1.) Chanel handbags I'm dying to have hehehe, I like the.. este I LOVE the black and red

2. Christian Louboutin Shoe, this shoes can make anyone feel sexy, glamorous and rich!

3. Black Balenciaga Hardware Bag, If for the next two years I will be able to go to New York or Canada the first big splurging moment for my salary would be spent on a branded bag. I really love this Balenciaga since it has this "rock chick" style which I really love. But I also want a classic, like a Louis Vuitton Bag (pics below)

4. Louis Vuitton Bags

5. Vacheron Constantin Watch, the most ambitious item that I would like to purchase, but if I'm rich enough to buy this million-worth-diamond-studded watch why not, diba? hehehe

This is by the way a big influence brought by my favorite magazines I knew and learned it all from them and all of the celebrities in Hollywood who keep on wearing and letting me see these beautiful creations hahaha. Blame them - wink!

for everyone

Its kinda weird that I always feel HAPPY after having a hectic and stressful day or week (take note: eyebags and wrinkles formation), maybe because I'd felt like I accomplished a lot of things or maybe because its a nice feeling that I haven't wasted my time doing nothing.

I'm starting to realize that I'm now excited to work, (seriously) gosh! I'm graduating already and of course very anxious for the coming days, weeks and months! hay, I know life can always be unpredictable.. Real WORLD Here I Come!

Blog EntryUnexpected blessingsFeb 27, '08 6:49 AM
for everyone

I feel so blessed today because yesterday was hell for me! It is because I had a lot of things to do, pass, and finish. I had to take care of our OR/DR cases, clearance and upcoming seminar on Monday. waha! I'm thankful I was able to beat the deadline! OR/DR cases done. clearance done. Seminar na lang! ahaha!  The second one was, I was able solve my financial crisis! VERY stressful problem.. haha I know! Because I'm all stressed and burned out by all the deadlines that I have to meet this week. Arrgggh now i'm excited to graduate! it's because that would only mean I'm graduating from being a president.. haha

Anyways, I wrote this entry because even if I'm busy and wasn't able to pray as much, just like before.. I'm thankful and happy that God has always been there and forever will be here for me! Had a lot of mistakes but had been very patient with me!

I AM BLESSED!

Most people don't see the world as it is.....they see it as they are.

As with all travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I've seen.

Boldness has genius,

Learn as if you will live forever; live as if you will die tomorrow.
